Mercure Hotel & Residenz Berlin Checkpoint Charlie, (135 rooms) description: The hotel building was created between 1995 and 1997 by the Italian architect Aldo Rossi, who was a professor at the University of Venice. In 1990, Rossi was the first Italian to win the International Pritzker Prize for Architecture, and he was also a member of the Accademia di San Luca (the Academy of Saint Luke).
Here you will be living in a particularly exclusive location, right by the former Checkpoint Charlie and near to the shopping stretch of Friedrichstraße and Gendarmenmarkt.

A breakfast buffet is available from 06:00 until 10:30 on weekdays and from 06:30 until 11:30 on weekends.

COMMENTS
This oasis of calm, directly located in the centre, was created by Italian architect Aldo Rossi. The hotel offers a breakfast restaurant, wine garden, bar, solarium, sauna and sundeck as well as warm coloured rooms in blue, yellow and orange. The hotel garni (breakfast-only hotel) is located in the historic town centre and offers 135 spacious rooms (~30m²) suites and apartments, which mostly feature a balcony.
Our 7 family suites are each 64m² in size and offer two separate bedrooms, sleeping up to 4 people. Berlin's main tourist attractions are easily accessible due to the central location of the hotel. It is only 200 metres from the Kochstrasse (U6), Stadtmitte (U2/U6) or Friedrichstrasse (U6)underground stations.
